HANDLE TELEPHONE CALL

Why is it important to use proper dialect and no slang when communication with customers via the telephone?

good communication will allow your customer to understand what exactly is being said without the message being ambiguous, therefore the use of slang would prove to your customer lack of communication skills.

that is so true.... when one communicate over the telephone it is the image of the firm that they are upholding.. so they must communicate well to the other party on the phone.

answering the telephone is the first true image of a well groom organisation. this can also show that you treat your customers with courtesy and respect and that they are your first proirity.

Good communication is essential, this helps the customers to more understand what is beign said, the use of slang will show the customer that you don't understand the situation at hand.

first impression last if a customer calls the organisation and the use of slang is used then that organisation will have a bad reputation reason being customer dont always like to come into the office for assistance but to call in and if they cannot get good source of communication the phone then that organisation will lose

I think that when communicating with a customer no slangs must be usd and my reasons for this is because you want the give the customer the full understanding of what is being said

good communication is the key of a successful organization. an organization needs customers in order for the company to build. there has to be a level of understanding in order to give the correct information to each customer, hence the customer will be please and the company will continue to grow.

Good communication to customer will help the customer know that you are understanding their situation the use of slang help to show lack of communication skliis.

Customers must be understood and always treated with respect. Communication is always essential when dealing with customers. Slangs may be "trendy" or "catchy" but it is not always user friendly when dealing with customers. The impression of an organization is also given off by an employee's transaction towards a customer over the phone. An employee must always communicate well in order to understand what is needed by the ecustomer and also for the customer to understand what information is being attained by him/her.

Very impressed with the comments i must say, i would like us stop using slang in our day to day communication. This would help us to be comfortable speaking standard english on the telephone.

so that your customer dont get the wrong impression of you and your company.when you communicate over the telephone it is important how you answer your caller.so try not to use the slang language.

You should always use proper dialect when speaking with customers as to convey the correct message at all times, because you dont want the to experience a breakdown in communication. Slangs should never be used when answering a company telephone.

i agree with violet that good communication with customer brings out clear understanding and a good first impression with body language,tone of voice, ask qusetion,feedbacks in the organisation and to the customer.
